FSM Department of Justice and the IOM team up in Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign

FSM DOJ (November 15, 2013): The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is joining forces with the FSM Department of Justice in preparing for the FSM National Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign. Although the campaign is scheduled to officially kick off in January 2014, a poster contest involving FSM 9th graders through 12th graders will commence in December 2013.

IOM will assist in reaching tou to the various states this month to explain human trafficking to 9th graders through 12th graders in order to prepare the students for the contest. The students will be asked to draw up their ideas for posters that will be used throughout the FSM. In addition, students will be asked to send in a brief description of their poster idea with the proposed poster drawing. Rules of the contest will be provided to each of the schools throughout the FSM involving the students.

Rules for the contest will be given out before December 1, 2013. Winners of the contest will be announced in January 2014.
