Our Planet Magazine features President Christian's "Scoring a Goal"

After having participated in the official signing of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change in a High-level Signature Ceremony at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City in April 2016, on behalf of the Federated States of Micronesia, H.E. President Peter M. Christian joined other countries in a collected resolve to address challenges arising from the effects of climate change, following the commitments that were made at the UN Climate Change conference in Paris last year.

Vice President Yosiwo George is scheduled to Visit the State of Chuuk

The Honorable Yosiwo P. George, Vice President of the Federated States of Micronesia, is scheduled to visit Chuuk State from 07-10 June 2016.

The purpose of the visit to follow up on President Pete M. Christian's visit to Onoun,  the Onoun Airstrip Assessment completed in March 2016, and to pay courtesy calls on the Honorable Johnson S. Elimo, Governor of Chuuk, and the Honorable Cox Raymond, Mayor of Onoun. Vice President will discuss with Mayor Raymond and families on their support and efforts to clean up the airstrip to help expedite the improvements needed for the upgrade of the airstrip.

Vice President George will be accompanied by Special Assistant to the Office of the President Mr. Herman Semes, Jr., and Mr. Stanley Earnest, Project Manager from the FSM Department of TC&I.
