FSMIS (October 8, 2014): On October 6th, Federated States of Micronesia President Manny Mori extended an invitation to Speaker Dohsis Halbert and other Members of the FSM Congress to join him and his delegation on the occasion of the FSM National Day celebration in Japan. At the periphery of this celebration, various business and investment seminars will also take place, which are organized primarily by the Micronesia Registration Advisors, Inc. (MRA).
The past few years, President Mori has made consistent efforts in support of these concurrent annual FSM events in Japan to emphasize the strong and special "kizuna" (blood relation) between FSM and Japan. He also takes this time of the year (November) to highlight the FSM as a growing investment and business destination for Japanese partners and appeal to the Japanese Government for further collaborations in areas of mutual interests to both countries.
The President begin this trip the first week on November, stopping in Guam for a few meetings on the way.
Last year, Speaker Halbert and a handful of Members went on the same trip and took part in the FSM Day celebration.
