U.S. Awards $53 Million in Compact Sector Grants for Fiscal Year 2014

In October, the FSM received notification from the U.S. Department of Interior, Office of Insular Affairs, that Fiscal Year 2014 Compact Sector Grant Awards totaling $53,081,361 for the FSM States and COM-FSM had been obligated.  The Awards are as follows:

Education                    $24,840,341

Health                         $19,459,713

Capacity Building       $  3,358,437

Environment               $  1,542,747

Private Sector Development                           $  1,937,328

Reporting and Accountability                        $  1,209,715

FSM Single Audit                                           $     500,000

Disaster Assistance Emergency Fund             $     233,080

This amount is in addition to the Supplementary Education Grant Award to be used in FY 2014 which totals $11,121,582, and was obligated in September.
