1.0 Purpose and Overview
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit for a single contract for coordination and promotion of a Tourism Adventure Sporting Event (i.e. walk, run, swim, hike or other ideas) for Kosrae Island outside the traditional “dive” market on Kosrae Island to stimulate increased visitor travel to Kosrae for 2014.

1.1 Scope of Services
The services required include, but are not limited to the following:
1. The Company shall have extensive experience in Sports Events works related to tourism adventure sports.
3. The Company shall adhere to timeline deadlines specified in the RFP project schedule as approved by KVB.
4. To create a new sporting event outside the traditional “dive” market on Kosrae Island to stimulate increased visitor travel to Kosrae (i.e. walk, run, swim, hike or other ideas).
5. The Company shall provide service costs to include: All possible
marketing and promotional works for the initiative. The services
provide will not be limited to creating the right brand and marketing (as licensor) of this event, carrying
out the event in Kosrae, work with Kosrae Visitors Bureau (licensee) in regards to travel to and from Kosrae for
Licensor, coordinate responsibilities
for insurance and other legal documents.

The event would target the “active lifestyle” demographics: accessible markets
in Guam’s military personnel, other local adventure minded athletes in Guam, as
well as peripheral markets served by United Airline in Micronesia, Pacific and Asia
(i.e. Japan, Cairns, Hong Kong, Hawaii, etc.).
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
The specifications for this RFP are listed below.
1. Cost:
Will be borne from your bid proposal.
2. Timeline
An estimated schedule outlining a time frame to complete this program shall be
included in the Proposal. The schedule shall include every aspect of the project from start to finish; starting from the date bid contract is executed up to the delivery date of the finished products.
3. Dateline for submission of Proposals
Dateline to submit proposals will be November 25, 2013 at 3:00 PM Kosrae time.
4. Life of the program:
December 09, 2013 to September 30, 2014.
5. Submittal and Evaluation of Proposals
Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated based on the qualifications to perform the services in the RFP, by a Selection Committee if so desired by KVB. Prospective offers are hereby cautioned not to contact any member of KVB in regards to this invitation until such time an award has been made.

This will surely promote the tourism at Kosrae. I wish many people join to this movement. Tourism is also help economy to grow and also guarantee stable growth and employee generation at place. Thailand is best example for this.
